Q: Hello Bable, I am 19 and have been married for 2 years, My husband was over sea's in the army. He just came back a month ago and treats me with no respect. Telling me what to wear, he tells me when or if I can go out places with my female friends and what time I have to be home even if he isn't there him self. Just two days ago he told me as his wife it is my duty to making sure his uniforms are washed and ironed for him at all times. It is not like I am a housewife I am going to school to further my education. I have to take him dinner to his workplace and i am beginning to think its because he has became controlling of me. I don't know what to do or which way to turn, I do love him but I can't live this way anymore.

A: You need to sit down with him NOW and talk to him about how you feel. Marriage is a mutual respect, just because you are a woman and does not mean you can be used as a doormat, or are expected to do everything he wants from you. If he wanted this to be the way he wants it he should have said something in the beginning of the relationship.

I would sit down with him tell you how you feel with how he is acting, i dont like to push divorce but i have seen many relationships like this, and i dont want you to fall into a statistic. Sometimes we love someone but we are not good together as a unit. Please keep us posted, and let us know if we can help you with anything.

Q: I am having problems with a neighbor. I want to be the best Christian I can be but this one is coming over into my yard after I asked them not to, also causing trouble with other neighbors, I personally seen this person walking the streets high and or drunk late at night. How do I maintain my morals and lay to rest the anger towards this person?

A: First of all i want to say i am sorry for taking so long to get back to you on this matter, i have been having some issues of my own.

I would handle this one of two ways, you can get the neighborhood together and all go to this person and let them know how he is acting, and how you guys do not appreciate him TRESPASSING! Or you can go over to him alone and let him know that if you see him on your lawn again you will call the cops, and let him know that you have asked him several times to stay off your property and he refuses.

Now with him walking the streets the best thing to do is CALL THE COPS, he could hurt himself, or someone else, and you dont want that on you.

You have the right to be angry at this person. Its how we handle it that makes us who we are. I would not approach him with the intent of being loud and angry, but approach him with stern words letting him know that it is not okay and you are upset about this. If you are calm yet firm you will come over as not an asshole, but not a push over either. I wish you the best of luck and keep us updated.

Q: I would like to know your feelings on homosexuality ?

A: I want to start of saying this is my opinion and what I think, this does not reflect from the staff of Spiritual Friends.

Now to answer your question. I have no issues with homosexuality one bit. I do on the other hand believe that marriage between a man and man or a woman and woman is not right it should be between man and woman. I know this can spark a lot of hate and debate on this subject. I am not saying you shouldn't coexist together that is your life choice, just marriage NO.

Now let me add this little bit, I do feel that most of the time homosexuals seek the approval of people way to much. That is your life and the way you want to live it. If someone has a problem with it, i would simply say STICK IT UP THEIR ASS. You have just as much right to love who you want to love. Live with who you want to live. Even have a child with whom you want to have a child with. Just because i dont approve of marriage between man and man and woman and woman does not mean i look down on them or will hate them for that choice, just simply means i dont agree, but i will be the first to tell you CONGRATS. I have many homosexual friends and i love them all and would do anything for them.

Just go out there and be yourself. If people dont like who you are because of a stupid little thing called sexual orientation then screw them, they are not worth your time.

Q:What is it with Churches these days? Ministers gone bad? Last night I was watching T.V and another leader has falling, He was caught sending sexual text to a young female member of his church . The news quoted that he said his wife was home sick and he could not get how beautiful and her rocking hot body out of his mind, and he is sorry this happened! what is happening to this world that pervs run our churches? It seems to me the trust is broken and makes me not want to have anything to do with religion ever !

A: Dear Sick and Tired, 

Yes I can understand what you are saying about trust and it being broken and not wanting anything to do with religion ever, but religion has nothing to do with a minister a rev a priest, or whatever else there is :), religion is within your heart and what you believe, we have to look out for false prophets, and people trying to get us to fall short or make us doubt our religion.

It is sick that we have people in this world who act like that, and it does make you begin to wonder and doubt yourself, and your religion but you have to stay strong on your faith and keep telling yourself that you are following God and what he wants for YOU not anyone else, and pray for the wicked. Keep your chin up and never loose your faith, it is all we have to keep us going with the evil that goes on in this world.

Q:My husband wants an open marriage and I am not sure if I am keen on the idea, I think it is a cop out and he wants to have affair and in my anger i want to sleep with another man to get back at him. what are your thoughts on this?

A: Ahhh, yes the ol open marriage. I feel you on this one. In my opinion this is the way a man tries to have his cake and eat it to. I think if he really wanted to leave you he would have left by now, but he is looking for a way to justify sleeping with someone else and keeping you around. I would also look at the possibility he has had an affair and is trying to cover it up.

As for you wanting to sleep with someone to get back at him, i understand that it is our human nature when we get mad to lash out and seek revenge on what or whoever, has in our mind, done us wrong. I would go sit down and talk to him and let him know that this is not what you want and you are not okay with it. If he wants to have an open marriage then there will not be a marriage at all to be open with. If you need a councilor to talk to, we here at spiritual friends can set you up with one. Q:I was wondering if you have any views on the use of cannabis in religion and on the medical benefits? I came across a site from CA that allows you to procure medical cannabis cards, Doesn't this lead to an easy excess to the misuse of cannabis?

A: MMMMM cannabis.... oh crap wait you have a question. This is an amazing debate that i love reading on and love hearing peoples opinions, i love that people twist Bible and make it fit agenda. (but dont we all :) )

So lets get down to this :)  Cannabis is used in the Bible but it is renamed a couple times, one name (used in a few versions) would be calamus, which was mixed with cinnamon and myrrh to make an anointing oil.  Although it does not say anywhere in the Bible (that i have found) that you cannot grow, or partake in smoking this fine herb, it is said that Jesus said dont be drunk on wine, which  it is to be interpreted (as some)  that he did not want you to be in a mind altering state.

As for the california medical cannabis cards, yes it does lead to the misuse of cannabis.  Seems you can get the card for anything, no names, but a close friend of mine got one for depression and weight loss.  Although i think there are some legit reasons for having the medical card having the full access to legal cannabis i think can lead to a lot of misuse, and often leads to selling it yourself. Now for having really any medical benefits i would have to say that yes it can help with severe pain other then that i think it is an excuse to just to get to euphoria.  

Although i agree that you should not constantly abuse this herb EVERYDAY, i do not think it is wrong to partake in a smoke every once in awhile. ;)

Q:Hello Bable, I wanted to find out what your views are on religion and state and the separation of the two? It seems to me there is a whole lot of Lies coming out of those that hold a high office these days, Governor of California is one that comes to mind. Not to mention using state funds to raise a child out of wedlock.

A: Good question, you asked me a question and i am going to answer this, nothing more.  Ask yourself this question, what was America's foundation?

Columbus set sail to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the "heathens", he claimed it was the lord who put it into his mind.

The charter for the Virginia colony read in part "to the glory of His divine Majesty, in propagating of the Christian religion to such people as yet live in ignorance of the true knowledge and worship of God"

When the pilgrams signed the mayflower compact aboard the mayflower at plymouth harbor : "for the glory of God and advancement of ye Christian faith … doe by these presents solemnly & mutually in ye presence of God and one of another, covenant & combine our selves together into a civill body politick”

Harvard believe that all knowledge without Christ was vain.

When the declaration of independence was signed : "We hold these truths … that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certaininalienable rights … appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world … And for the support of this Declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence" and as the declaration was signed Samuel Adams was quoted to say :“We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven, and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let his kingdom come.”

On the same day Benjamin Franklin suggested that the national motto be: “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.”

Eleven of the first 13 States required faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible as qualification for holding public office.

James Madison, the “architect” of the federal Constitution and fourth president: “We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future .. upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to sustain ourselves, according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

US Supreme Court defines the “Separation of Church and State.”

“We are a religious people and our institutions presuppose a Supreme Being … No Constitutional requirement makes it necessary for government to be hostile to religion and to throw its weight against the efforts to widen the scope of religious influence. The government must remain neutral when it comes to competition between sects … THE FIRST AMENDMENT, HOWEVER, DOES NOT SAY THAT IN EVERY RESPECT THERE SHALL BE A SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.”

So in my opinion I do not think they should be separated, we did just find in the start of this nation with the togetherness of religion and state, and now that we are trying to separate the two we are failing and we are crashing HARD. As for the Governor using state funds to raise his love child, i think he did lie to the people and they have the right to know if their money was used to support his "other" family.

Q:Hello Bable, I want to start out I am a Big Fan of yours! I noticed you went on vacation and thought I would ask how was your Vacation and if you don't mind me asking did you leave the states by chance? I was wondering if you could give me some on advice on a vacation spot for a family of 5 my youngest is 14 months old and oldest is 16.

A: First of all I want to say thank you for reading my advice column.  I did go on vacation 9 Glorious days of good ol down home relaxation.  I did not leave the states but i do have a few suggestions if you are thinking of leaving the states on vacation, and i have a few in the state vacation spots. 

Out of the states vacation spots :

Belize, Central America
South of Mexico and next to Guatemala, Belize is a great budget family destination. English is the spoken language in this Massachusetts-sized country and lodging prices are a bargain, with scores of rooms, cabanas, lodges, and beach huts for $15 to $50 a night (meals are $1.50 to $4). June and July see significant discounts on already-low prices due to the rainy season. Fly into Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City, then travel to one of the five regions or the cayes, the islands floating in the azure Caribbean Sea. Don't miss the Belize Zoo in Belize City, or the Community Baboon Sanctuary, about a half hour inland from the coast. Then there's the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve in the Stann Creek region. For an island experience, a 15-minute boat or inexpensive flight accesses literally hundreds of spectacular islands, which in turn access the world's second-largest barrier reef (Ambergris feels more western, Caulker more rustic).

Negril, Jamaica
This section of Western Jamaica is dubbed the "Capital of Casual" as it used to be a legendary hippie hangout. Hello My readers,

I want to say thank you to all the people who read my advice column, and especially those who participated you are making it possible for me to keep going.

Recently you may have noticed that I went on a little nine day vacation. While I would have loved to travel the world I went back to my little home town and reconnected with my family. I spent nine glorious but yet heartbreaking days without my kids, but i got the rest and relaxation I needed.
