Repent of your sins, and have faith in Christ.

For God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

The first Sin:

When God created human beings his intention was that they would live under his righteous rule in perfect joy, worshipping him, obeying him, and thereby living in unbroken fellowship with him. He did create them in his own image to be like him, to be in relationship with him, and to declare his glory to the world. God had a job for us, they were to be his vice-regents, ruling his world under him. Gen 1:28  Man and womans rule over creation was not ultimate, however.  Their authority was not their own; it was given to them by God. They were to remember that they were subject to God and under his rules.  He had created them, and therefore he had the right to command them.  The tree was planted as a stark reminder of that fact. When they looked at the tree and saw the fruit they remember that their authority was limited, that they were creatures, and that they were dependent on God for their very lives. They being only stewards and him the King.  When they bit into the fruit they were not just violating some command "dont eat they fruit" They were doing something much sadder and much more serious.  They were rejecting Gods authority over them and declaring their independence from him. They took the opportunity to shed the vice-regency and take the crown itself. Essentially he rebelled.  They made the conscious decision to reject him as their King. They knew what the consequences where if they disobeyed. gen 2:17  They traded their favor with God for the pursuit of their own pleasure and their own glory. They essentially had goals and desires that categorically opposed to what God desired for them, and so they sinned. They deliberately violated Gods command, broke their relationship with him, and rejected him as their rightful Lord. (free will, they chose to disobey Gods command if they didn't have free will they would have not been able to eat the apple they were just in a state of complete and utter worship of the King) The consequences of their "sin" was disastrous for them, their descendants, and the res of creation.  No longer would the earth willingly and joyfully present its fruits and treasures to them. They would have to WORK, HARD and PAINFULLY, to get them. Their fellowship with God was broken, and thus their hearts shriveled. their minds filled with selfish thoughts.

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised HIM from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9

Ask Jesus to come into heart, pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe you died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in heaven for me. Lord Jesus, come into my life; take control of my life; forgive my sins and save me.  I repent of my sins and now place my trust in your for my salvation. I accept the free gift of eternal. Father, I thank you with all my heart. In Jesus' name Amen.
